To find your wedding style you’re going to have to start by making one of those lists…you know the A and B list. Ask yourself, for our wedding, what are our Top THREE Priorities. This first step will help you along the way. Is it to visit with your most cherished loved ones? Perhaps a low-key, more intimate wedding day is ideal for you. Perhaps you want to live it up in the lap of luxury while having your every need attended to. You may want to think about a destination wedding at a resort or a lavish hotel. Or, maybe you’re young and spunky and you envision yourself shaking that booty all night long with 250 of your closest college pals. Sounds like more of a rock concert or club to me!
Maybe your priority is getting as many romantic photos of the two of you together as possible is on your priority list. That’s going to help you decide how to plan out your budget and select the right atmosphere for those photos. Or, maybe you’re a weekend warrior for your favorite cause and you want to promote awareness at your wedding day. Having your guests full attention is a fantastic way to share what’s on your heart.
So, first step. List your Top THREE Wedding Day Priorities.
The Venue
Picking the perfect wedding venue may actually be the key to help you find your wedding style. Because let’s be real, if you just picked the 3rd floor ballroom in an ultra-modern downtown building with views of the city, your wedding style is definitely not rustic. But depending on the room you may lean towards modern or vintage. If the room is fully updated with sleek design and wide open spaces a more modern wedding style fits better. But on the other hand what if it used to be an old factory with crumbling bricks still on the walls.
