Explore Erie's Unique Wedding Venues
Are you newly engaged and just a little bummed out because you don’t want one of the run-of-the-mill weddings like you’ve been attending the last few years for your friends. Tired of the same old-same old barns, country clubs and fire halls? We get it. We understand that your love story is special and you want to share it in a fun way that’ll be memorable. That is why we’ve worked alongside our Photography & Planning teams to build a list of our Top FIVE Unique Wedding Venues in Erie County, Pa. This list does not contain all of the unique wedding venues we’ve worked at, it’s just a list of the ones we liked the best. And man oh man…it really was hard to decide which ones to include. Check it out and then reach out to talk to us personally about planning and capturing your wedding day!
32 W. Eighth Street - Unique Wedding Venue
One of our favorite unique wedding venues to work at is 32 West Eighth Street in the heart of downtown Erie. This venue, built in 1909, has history, flair, and charm. Select the Arcadia hall with the feel of a gothic castle adorned with marble columns and a stunning marble fireplace. Or, travel upstairs for an elegant affair in the Grand Ballroom. Soaring ceilings, ample space and inviting cream colored walls and a wooden floor are the ideal elements for your wedding. You’ll feel like royalty in whichever room you select for your wedding day. You can also get married at the hall in their Lodge Room. Brides float down the breathtaking staircase to meet their Prince Charming below. Enjoy some of the images we’ve captured in this hall with our team at Silver & Sage Studios.
The Schoolhouse in Fairview
Nestled snuggly on a hilltop in Fairview sits The Schoolhouse. This is definitely one of the Erie areas most unique wedding venues. The quaint brick structure was built in 1897 and served as a one room school house for local children. The current owners purchased it, renovated it into a charming wedding & event venue and added a luxury bar & lounge in the cellar level. Couples can now enjoy an outdoor ceremony on the West Lawn of the property if they so choose, or in less than ideal weather they can exchange vows in the school room right where the school mistresses desk used to sit. Cocktail hour is typically enjoyed in the bar and adjacent patio. Larger weddings usually opt to host an outdoor reception under a tent in the west lawn. More intimate weddings with less than 80 guests can dine and dance inside the school room painted a creamy yellow. Please enjoy the gallery captured by our team at Silver & Sage Studios.
Beach Glass Estates - Historic Wedding Venue
Beach Glass Estates, located in Historic North East, Pa is one of the most unique wedding venues in Erie County, Pa. This venue began its journey in 1912 when The Brother’s of Saint Barnabas purchased the land and began to build. The beautiful stone chapel was completed in 1916. Most weddings at this location choose to say their vows overlooking the lake cliff in fair weather and inside the old stone chapel in not-so-fair weather. More intimate weddings can enjoy their reception split between several rooms in the old building, while larger affairs can rent a tent and host on the lawn over looking Lake Erie. Featured here is Robert & Sarah’s Love Story.
The Erie Art Museum
Those couples wanting to give their guests a more cultured experience can happily host inside The Erie Art Museum! With numerous spaces to utilize for your ceremony and/or reception, this hall offers a unique experience far from the typical barn or country club reception hall. When you rent the art museum for your wedding your guest will have access to enjoy more than just the entertainment at your celebration. They are free to take in whatever exhibit is currently on display. The wedding featured here took full advantage of the art museum as it rained on their wedding day and we were unable to take any photos outdoors. Whispering Trees Manor
If your wedding wish is to be transported to a whimsical world of magical love then Whispering Trees Manor in Edinboro, Pa is the ideal venue for you. Nestled into the country, just a short drive off the highway is this stunning garden style venue with 2 ceremony spots to select from. If taking a walk in the woods appeals more to your taste then select the wooded ceremony spot complete with accents hand made from grape vines. Across the other side of the property is an English Garden Style spot that’s perfect for those fans of Bridgeton. No matter what ceremony spot you choose to say I Do, you’ll dance the night away in their open air style pavilion with adjacent bar and outdoor lounge just a step away. Our team has served at this venue as Planner & decorator, DJ & Photography.
These are just a few of the gorgeous, unique wedding venues our team has had the honor of serving at over the years. We hope that you enjoy looking through these galleries and we encourage you to reach out to our lead Coordinator, Eve, with any questions you may have about them or booking us to help you find the perfect spot for your love story in Erie, Pa.
